Privacy Policy

Content Factory ("the Application", "we", "us") is a self-hosted content publishing and scheduling tool operated by its owner. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Application accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Who this applies to

The Application is used by the owner and a small number of authorized users. Each user connects their own accounts and manages only their own content.

2. Data we access

Google / YouTube data. When you connect your YouTube channel, you authorize the Application via Google OAuth 2.0 to:

• Upload videos to your own YouTube channel (youtube.upload) - to publish videos that you provide, with the title, description, tags, and privacy status that you choose.
• Read your own channel and video information (youtube.readonly) - to display your connected channel and the status of your uploaded videos back to you.

We access only the authenticated user's own channel. We do not access, read, or modify any other channel, other users' data, comments, or private data beyond what is listed above.

3. How we use the data

• To upload and schedule the user's own videos to the user's own channel.
• To display the connected channel name and upload/processing status to the same user.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell or share it with third parties, and we do not use it for any purpose other than the publishing features described above.

4. Limited Use disclosure

The Application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer or use Google user data for serving ads, and we do not allow humans to read this data unless (a) you give consent for specific items, (b) it is necessary for security or to comply with applicable law, or (c) the data is aggregated and anonymized.

5. Data storage and security

• OAuth tokens are stored securely on the owner's own server and used only to call the YouTube API on your behalf.
• We store the minimum data needed to operate (connected channel identifier, your content, scheduling settings).
• We do not store your Google account password (OAuth is used instead).

6. Data retention and revocation

You can revoke the Application's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Upon revocation or on request, the stored tokens and connected-account data are deleted.

7. Content you publish

You are responsible for the content you upload and for holding the rights to publish it. The Application acts only as a tool that uploads content you provide to your own channel.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
